This song captures that feeling of contempt for Mister Wrong's next victim. Even though he didn't deserve you, you still lamented his decision to choose someone else.
Plus, she has a cute French accent.

I don't know anything about french artist Soko. I just found this song and video by chance on the same day. I'm assuming that she was in a groups called The Sokos but he dumped her for someone else? It seems that way and judging by her songs she's hurt and pissed. I love her voice. If someone knows more about them feel free to school me in the comments.

I have no idea how I found Soko. I was just doing some random song-networking on iTunes and came across this evil little ditty. I am now driving my family crazy by listening to this ad nauseum. I can't decide what is so great about it - the nasty little lyrics, the way she says cinema, that line "all she's got is blonde-ness. All I know is the song has wedged its way into my craw and I can't get it out. peace.

Soko seems to have a famous boyfriend now, if the free rags are to be believed. Also doing a little tour. Which is enough excuse for me to post this excellent song. (There is a vid to be found elsewhere on Mog and in the usual places.)

Someone in the office down the hall sent me a link to Soko's MySpace page, which pointed me in the direction of this video, which is some French alt-folk-pop concoction, sort of a Gallic version of Kate Nash or Lily Allen. It's as minimal as can be, and cute as all get out. I love the way she says "I'll keeel her."

This young french woman sings about wanting to kill the girl the guy she liked decided to date. While I generally don't think people should have the urge to kill people who didn't actually do anything, I like the sentiment of the song. Next time, she should change the lyrics and just title it "I'll Kill You".
