A curious survivor of the initial British punk/goth waves, Siouxsie has turned out some remarkable work in her career -- Siouxsie & the Banshees having been a malleable conglomerate over time. Superstition, the album from which the pseudo-psychedelic "Kiss Them for Me" was drawn, showed up a rather pretty, ethereal side of the band, one that is showcased here in both the A-track and the softer "Staring Back" and "Return" (which takes a turn toward a Velvet Underground-styled build and climax). Remixer Youth steps in to provide the "Kathak Mix" of "Kiss Them for Me," which crosses psychedelia with trance and provides good reason for weird lighting, glow sticks, and incense.
