Yeah, those guys are a busy lot. They've only just finished promoting their latest CD and DVD and now they're in New York recording a new album with producer Flood, according to their website and myspace.

Wow. Several months ago, I bought my first Sigur Ros album, and I truly believe there is no better album out there for me. Every time I hear them, I'm thrown into a dream world. They fit my every mood. Whether I'm happy or sad... Any one song by them could fit any and (almost) all of my various moods. I don't even understand what he's saying, but that's the beauty in it, for me. A lot of the songs that the singer writes are in a language he himself made up, so no one can u... MORE
I recently read somewhere that singing might have predated talking in the evolution of human vocal communication. My first thought was not that humans eventually developed a more sophisticated means to interact like talking, but that we de-volved into a clunkier (but quicker) means of getting ideas across. (But perhaps that's a good thing; if I think of, say, George Bush singing a speech, it would probably sound like a combination of the cheesiest country-music-yodel mix... MORE
