For those of you wondering where Sigur Ros filmed the video for "Gobbldigook," the first single off their fifth studio album, Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust, where everyone runs around naked in an undisclosed enchanted forest looking like they are praising the gods of fire...I've got your answer. The video was taped in "Caumsett State Historic Park":http://www.epodunk.com/cgi-bin/genInfo.

Með Suð í Eyrum Við Spilum Endalaust!!! (Try saying that fast ten times.) Yeah, it's pretty easy to confuse that little fragment with some J.R.R. Tolkien Elvish language scripture but the-not-so-little phrase happens to be the title of Sigur Rós fifth studio album. Mogger laura27 was "quick to announce":http://mog.com/laura27/blog_post/164041 the news today along with the album's translation

Sigur Ros are smokin'! The band's 2007 documentary Heima was just named the Top All-Time Documentary by IMDB, the highly respected movie industry database. Heima, which followed the band on the 2006 tour of their homeland, beats out Martin Scorsese's Bob Dylan homage No Direction Home and all of Michael Moore's provocative films, despite Moore getting more votes. Sigur Ros are streaming their entire new unpronounceable-to-the-un-Icelandic-eye album today on their website. (remember the days when they named them something everyone could pronounce like Takk...?)To listen to Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust (see what I mean about the title) "click here": http://www.sigurros.com/main/streaming.asp The album can also be streamed via the band's super wi

You still can't understand what Sigur Ros are singing in their native Icelandic in the band's latest single "Gobbledigook," but it sure does echo the title of the album Með Suð í Eyrum Við Spilum Endalaus which translates into "with a buzz in our ear we play endlessly."The video takes the bands peaceful buzz to a mystic forest where people run free wearing nothing...kinda like in the cavemen d

If you haven't figured it out yet, Sigur Ros are the bigest things to come from Iceland since Bjork, screatch that, Leif Ericson! With the release of new LP Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust imminent(I don't know what that means either) June 23 from EMI in the UK and June 24 on XL in North America. Recently, they performed at the Orpheum Theather in Omaha, Nebraska and some prety damn cool

A few years back I took a summer vaykay that included a stop in Iceland at the end of June. Oh, how I wish that vaykay were happening this year, because it'd coordinate perfectly with the free open air Náttúra concert Bjork and Sigur Ros are playing on June 28th in their homeland. The environmentally-charged concert's goal is to raise awareness of the destruction of Iceland's natural landscape.

While Iceland is suffering its own financial crisis, the country's own Sigur Ros are trying to restore some calm with their official video for the Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust track "Inní Mér Syngur Vitleysingur (Within Me a Lunatic Sings.)" Perhaps the band's feeling the country's financial woes, because instead of getting buck naked and running around a New York State Park with a hand.

We were all excited to hear Ryan McGinley sun-blessed nude images would be used in Sigur Ros's new album cover. But I didn't know such aesthetics would transcend to their music videos tho.However- the London Telegraph offered an awesome preview of Sigur Ros' new single (name I can't pronounce). http://www.telegraph.co.uk/telegraph/telegraphtv/tvplayer/?ID=Arts&bcpid=1358314062&bclid=1422258516&...

Today I wished I lived in London and read the Independent. Following in the footsteps of Prince, Ray Davies, and some less than popular others, Sigur Ros are giving away a free nine track album in the newspaper under the English title We Play Endlessly. The free CD is a greatest hits compilation of sorts, sampling from 2008's Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust, 2007's Hvarf/Heim, 2005's Takk
