I just stumbled on Shelby Lynne's first record. I hadn't heard it, probably, since it came out back in 2000. I forgot how amazing "Your Lies" sounds, part mid-'70s Carole King / Neil Diamond pomp (thanks mike mcguirk, for that description from Rhapsody), part country soul, belted from gut.
