All Music GuideThis is pretty much of a piece with her previous album (Weaving My Ancestors' Voices), continuing her eclectic forays into the forms and feelings of various Western and non-Western genres, and resuming her most avant-garde projects with the a cappella clucking/chanting of "Speaking in Tongues" (parts three and four). It's not a redundant repetition of the territory laid out on Weaving My Ancestor's Voices. It's more an extension of the mood, Chandra delving more deeply into June Tabor-styled British folk vocals in particular.
