I don't think it's any secret amongst the regulars around [antiMusic] that I'm a Sevendust fan. So maybe it carries a little more weight when I say I have mixed feelings about Sevendust's most recent studio album. (Keep in mind that I probably sounded like a raving fanboy on their last two studio discs, Alpha and Next.) I think the biggest part of it is that I really liked the direction they were taking on Alpha, which had some really killer songs and was a bit of an evo... MORE

_I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. ~Gilda Radner_

I miss this side of Sevendust. It seems that lately they've became a more melodic metal band which isn't necessariy a bad thing, I just liked this side of them better. It was heavier and all around better. They still have some good songs but I just miss the aggression. Still one of my favorite bands though.
