All Music GuideVeteran pianist Sammy Price, who was 79 at the time of this project (which might be his last recording), is heard performing a set of duets with three different Detroit-based musicians. There are three songs apiece with either the modern but flexible trumpeter Marcus Belgrave or George Benson (no relation to the guitarist) on alto or tenor; in both cases, Price performs two swing standards and an original blues. The second side of the small-label LP has five duets by Price with drummer J.C. Heard, including "Honeysuckle Rose," "After Hours" and a romping "Little Rock Getaway." Delightful music.
