I played this (live) Ryan Adams track on the SIRIUS show several weeks ago and have since received several emails inquiring as to its origin. "Dreams Of A Working Class Clown" is a, live, piano ballad Adams had in his regular rotation in the Spring of 2001 just prior to the release of Gold. It [...]
--- - I didn't think it was possible. I didn't think a grown man (38), who plays guitar (pretty good too), who bled classic rock in high school (and beyond), didn't know the "Cowboy Song." But that is what I was met with Sunday night, after Dave and I attended the (fairly epic) Ryan Adams show. "You've [...]- Ryan Adams
According to this extremely dubious British Web site , Ryan Adams ' next album will not be a Ryan Adams album -- it'll be billed under just Cardinals -- and it's due out October 27. A boy can dream. In the meantime, the band's been playing new songs and they sound like Cold Roses after a bowl of oatmeal, which I guess isn't a major revelation. Dude's gotta get his fiber. Here's the best of them...
We've been doing a lot of posting about Ryan Adams lately, but that's only because he's been giving us a lot to post. In the latest installment of where's Ryan, Ryan is giving you the opportunity to pre-order his band's new album, Cardinology, on limited edition red vinyl and while you're at it receive a limited edition t-shirt, some tour postcards, and more goodies for the reasonable price of ...
There has been a lot of Ryan Adams love, on AD, over the past few weeks gearing up for the release of the Cardinals new LP Cardinology (October 28th). In the meantime I have been digging through sleeves of old Ryan/Whiskeytown bootlegs. The below acoustic show is a favorite: recorded September 9, 2000, [...]
iLike have a stream of Ryan Adams' new album. We want to know what you first thoughts are and whether you think he's still guilty of quantity over quality? Will you be listening to it, or do you wanna wait for your copy on vinyl to arrive rather than listen to a stream?
For those who were overjoyed at Foggy's return but need Ry's rants in physical form, get set for Mr. Adams's literary debut. It's titled Infinity Blues and will come via Akashic Books . We don't know what it's about yet, or when it comes out, but chances are there will be a follow up soon! More jokes about how he is a prolific human being! See the full working book cover and read his not-at-all...
--- - |- The "Ryan Adams Plays Everywhere But Los Angeles" tour kicks off in a couple weeks and are potentially in support of a rumored new Cardinals album where Ryan will share vocal and songwriting duties with his bandmates. So, uh, kind of a bummer of a post, huh? Dates after the jump. [Continue reading...] 08-23 San Francisco, CA - Fillmore 08-26 Seattle, WA - WaMu Theater * 08-27 Va...
Ryan Adams lied when he said he was going to stop blogging a few months ago and broke our hearts. I think I can find it in my heart to forgive him however, since he has since announced and expanded a "Cardinals" tour (no Ryan Adams & the____), completed a record, and now resurrected said blog with an astounding rate of PPH (posts per hour). A few posts down you'll see his "best dumb video ev...
Ryan Adams finally coming back to L.A.: Unfortunately it's on another leg of the Oasis tour, which wouldn't be unfortunate -- it would be mega! -- if the bands weren't playing Staples Center. Then again, I'm probably madferit enough to shell out for floor seats anyway. They'll be here December 4. [Via Pitchfork ]
I love reading about who my favorite artists love to listen to. I can't even tell you how many bands I have gotten into from reading some interview of a band I love that mentioned an artist that THEY loved. Without the aid of an iterview, it can sometimes be a little more difficult to tell what influenced certain musicians. But sometimes, it comes oozing out in song from. New York Dolls - 'Lo...
I bought Ryan Adams tickets the other day - always a painless way to throw away money - and I realized it's been WAY to long since I share any of his music. Although not nearly as obsessed as I once was with Mr. Adams....he will always hold a special place in my musical heart. Ryan Adams - 'For No One' MP3 ~~
