All Music GuideRufus Thomas was right vocally, but otherwise this album didn't live up to the title. After years of inspired productions, arrangements, and compositions, Thomas didn't get similar treatment for his debut on the Avid label. They did a respectable job, but didn't get him any hits or inventive /p>
ovelty tunes. Thomas eventually went from being a hit act to a nostalgia/oldies performer.
