While ripping more vinyl (this time my Reader's Digest "Musical Adventures for Young People" ca. 1968, which my grandma bought for me,) for my soon to be 4 year old niece, I spent some time re-examining the cover. Not only were these recordings "Pleasure Programmed", but they were "Recorded in the magnificent NEW DYNAGROOVE® SOUND".

Earlier I posted "Pickin' on the Floyd" a bluegrass tribute so in fairness I will allow equal time to this album. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra does a nice job with arrangement without sounding like "elevator music". They are not afraid to bring in some screaming electric guitar when needed. All and all a nice effort. This may not be toned down enough for grandmom and grandpop to enjoy and that is not a bad thing.
