All Music GuideA rather disappointing three-disc set, Roy Rogers & Dale Evans is not quite that. Only the first disc actually contains performances from Rogers and Evans, while the latter discs collect performances by the Sons of the Pioneers, albeit excellent ones. While many of these performances are stellar, it's a rather misleading approach from RCA Camden, although the set does contain fine performances from Rogers (such as "Lore of the West") and Evans (who sings the mighty "Texas for Me").
