Another highly recommended band, Rival Schools. There is a definite lack of good rock albums or rock bands that aren't pretty these days. This one fits the bill IMO.
It's a few years old, but still a nice break from the pretty bands of today. I swear we're hitting a new wall like we did in the late 80s/early 90s when everyone dabbed on makeup, did their hair and sounded the same.
