I kicked off my first show of 2008 with a bang on Sunday night at the sold-out Reverend Horton Heat at the Bluebird Theatre. One thing I love about live shows, aside from the music, is the abundance of people-watching ... I walked in to find a sea of uber-hipsters, punk rockers, rockabilly hepcats, and a reasonable enough amount of thirty-something guys and dolls to make me feel at home. After ...

I missed most of Panty Raid, as the show started a little earlier than expected, but the Reverend more than made up for it. I'
Hmmm. I saw Reverend Horton Heat open for Frank Black in the early 90s. Their set blew me away and I didn't want them to leave.
