and some RATM from Reading in 1996:
I just bought tickets for a show that's in about a month. It's over in New Orleans, which is a bit of a drive, but oh well. They're having a festival called the Voodoo Music Experience. I just got a Friday ticket. There's a few people playing. No one that special, except, oh I don't know.. RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE!!!!!!!!!!! I can't tell you how stoked I am. I'll probably see Earl Greyhound and BMRC as well, but they are pretty much afterthoughts right now.... MORE
Evil Empire is probably one of my favorite Albums of all time... It just always sounds fresh to me.
Who here here has a CD that sounds fresh to them every time they listen to it?
Acoustic performance by Tom Morello & Zach De La Rocha in Chicago 4/14/07
People of the Sun
Bulls on Parade
Down Rodeo - 2 parts
I'm still stoked about the RATM reunion. I still need to score some tickets...and backstage passes. I still need to know how the hell to get those passes...dammit!!
I saw them on SNL a long long time ago and then I saw them again on a repeat of SNL and I've loved this band since. I can't wait for their reuinion at Coachella.
I am still recovering from the shock that rage will re-unite. It is only barely beginning to sink in that I will get what I have wanted for seven years since their break-up. These are both clips from the 8-13-96 show at the Electric Factory in Philly from the Evil Empire tour. As far as I know the non-singles from EE really haven't been played since the 96 & 97 tours, but that being said...... I will flip my shit if they pull out some obscure tracks........such asSnakec... RATM are some of the best tunes for commuting in London.
I have to cross covent garden, and it is full of folks s.l.o.w.l.y wandering around,
Anyone would think thaat they were there to browse or summink ...
So getting through them just to get home, is... frustrating to say the least.
Bulls on parade, Guerilla Radio etc are good tracks to make it more bearable.
then once you're on the train you can switch to a podcast to settle down and listen to.
Rage reuniting @ the Coachella festival....I am beyond excited. I am almost calm. It is eerie. I have been quite fond of rage since about 96 when I was still in middle school. Evil Empire had just come out and it opened my eyes in a different way than any other music I listened to up to that point. The ferocity that came through the speakers blew me away. I tried to learn all the Morello guitar riffs that I could......then a friend and I decided we would play "Bulls ... MORE
quick and to the point thoughts before going to work.... RAGE (head bangs and screams)----to be honest, i am a huge RATM fan, but don't really care for Audioslave... i dont know all the details of the rage breakup, but it'd be awesome if they got together for one more album or even a worldwide tour... thats my wish * folds hands and flutters eyelids * but sometimes this world treats us nicely, and says "hey world of people, we've heard your crys, and we're going to give yo...
