Radiohead will broadcast a pre-recorded performance that will include tracks from In Rainbows on New Year's Eve, according to a post by Thom Yorke on the group's website. Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has responded to a report in the Times of London in which reported Friday that that Radiohead rejected a £3 million advance for the new In Rainbows, and refused to back down from its wish to acquire the copyrights to some of its master recordings. Ok. So as my 25th year on this planet comes to a close, let's take a moment to look back on some of the great music that soundtracked my 2007. It was a pretty good year for music with long-awaited returns from some of my favorite bands (Radiohead, Bright Eyes, Interpol) and some surpise newbies that made it on my playlists (White Williams, 1990s). I know that this show has it's detractors in The U.K. As an American surrounded by crap, I find it quite good with excellent music (Spiritualized!) within the show. It's just been announced on air on bbc6music that they will be interviewing Radiohead next Monday (19th)on the Steve Lamacq show (4- 7pm, UK time). So expect lots about the new album, why they released it the way they did and why they signed to a new label.
