All Music GuideThis is the second live album from Racer X, released well after the band had broken up in the late '80s. Cut from the same sonic cloth as its predecessor, Live Extreme, Vol. 1, it offers more of the same over the top instrumental indulgences and cartoonish heavy metal sentiments of that album. For fans of the band, it features some previously unreleased originals: "Poison Eyes" and "Give It to Me" as well as a cover of Kiss' "Detroit Rock City." Production assistance is provided by GGGarth, of Rage Against the Machine and L7 fame.
