I've been catching up on season 2 of the Henry Rollins show on Fuse lately. It's better on IFC because it's uncensored, but it's still a decent half hour on Fuse. Season 1 was mostly about movies, but Season 2 seems to be covering more ground. I'm not sure which I like better. I kind of liked hearing Henry Rollins' talk about how crappy Hollywood movies are whilst I giggled, pointed at the TV, and said, "you were in Johnny Mnemonic!" But Season 2 has longer int... MORE

Queen of the Stone Age's frontman Josh Homme recently provided an eccentric interview to antiquiet's Johnny Firecloud. Homme discusses working with Trent Reznor, describes why the song "Era Vulgaris" is not on the album of the same name and how he is trying to help the city of Detroit, which he says, "needs my help." I can't even get into some of the metaphors he uses to describe his music. It's not work-safe, but luckily it's all text, so no worries about your boss seeing... MORE

I caught the Queens of the Stone age last night in Stuttgart at the old Messe Hall downtown. This was first show I have been to at the Messe and it was a pretty good venue..It has small elevated seating section with about 10 rows of seats, and I actually go to sit down and relax...a nice luxury these days... The show opened with Navel...a three piece band from Switzerland. They sounded a bit like Nirvana and were pretty loud...not bad for young band. QOTSA put o... MORE

Queens Of The Stone Age have release a new video for their song "Make It Wit Chu." The track was announced as the third single off of Era Vulgaris (Interscope) the group's fifth album. The video was shot in Joshua Tree, California. The song was also featured on the band's live DVD "Over the Years and Through the Woods" before being rerecorded for Era Vulgaris. www.myspace.com/queensofthestoneage... MORE

Well Homme and Co. (four new guys with manic panic blacked out hair) rocked, but went too heavy on their new album. Secret Weapon Lanegan was not around, very disappointing. This is NYC , ZERO special guests? come on! Are Greg Dulli and the Twilight Singers still touring? Anyway, for the first time I was actually close to the stage- never knew he was the lead guitarist on the lion's share of the the tunes. Very impressive. Very talented fella...ears still ringing (hence the... MORE

Arizona Cardinals Cheerleader Erika. ‘The only thing I know for sure Is what I wanna do, anytime, anywhere. And I say I wanna make it, (again and again) I wanna make it wit Chu, Anytime, anywhere’. (‘Queens of the Stone Age’) Lyrics from the song ‘Make It Wit Chu’ off their Rockin CD ‘Era Vulgaris’…..(This is Queens of the Stone Age at their most elemental and efficient, never spending longer than necessary at each song, yet managing to make each of these three to f... I haven’t really made a post about QotSA yet, but seeing as they’re about all I’ve been listening to recently it seems appropriate. It took me a while to warm up to this band. I recall when “No One Knows” started to get play I was slightly intrigued…even had a friend or two say they were worth checking out. Still...I passed on them at that time, choosing instead to stick with my quest to explore all manner of classic rock. It wasn’t until more recently that I began to start l... MORE

There's a new free concert coming to town, well 7 US towns anyway. 7 towns will get a free show by one of 7 different bands to help build exposure for Samsung musical mobile phones and AT&T's recent partnership with eMusic. So, while you get a free show, you'll probably be herded past their promotion kiosks everytime you go to the bathroom. But it should be worth it, just scope this lineup and schedule: Aug 13 Queens of the Stone Age - Los Angeles
