Turn this up and let us know how you feel in 5.20 minutes. The local community radio put this one down on me the other day and it hit the spot! Song, lyrics, thoughts...you know...K.I.S.S "You got a question? Please don't ask it,
It puts the lotion in the basket,
You say bigger's better but bigger's better,
White boy dressed up like a figure,
Drawn inside a toilet on the wall,
The world is round,
My square don't fit at all, They say those who ... MORE

Perhaps a little late - but still important, after all V-Fest has only just left the country. I was looking forward to this quite a lot because I was going to see a few bands I hadn't seen before (even though they were so well known it's not funny). The morning was simply a case of futzing about and getting ready, you know the drill, then having Jared, Alicia, Barbara and Gill arrive for all of us to leave and get to Centennial park about 2pm (although Jared and Kate wer... So, I won't even attempt to make this post as glorious as the one the disappeared into cyberspace. I'll just cut to the chase. A friend of mine was recommending this Guitar Hero video game to me, and I just did not think I would enjoy it. I figured the the rock songs and groups that I enjoy are far too few and far between for me to like this game. So, that makes twice in my life I've been wrong. Man, some of these songs are fuckin' GREAT ! Here's a list... MORE

I just wrote a BEAUTIFUL post about the Queens of the Stone Age song "Go With the Flow", and MOG ATE IT !!! It was too long for me to write all over again, and even if I did, there's no way I could capture the spirit of the original post. Fucking MOG gremlins.... MORE

I've been catching up on season 2 of the Henry Rollins show on Fuse lately. It's better on IFC because it's uncensored, but it's still a decent half hour on Fuse. Season 1 was mostly about movies, but Season 2 seems to be covering more ground. I'm not sure which I like better. I kind of liked hearing Henry Rollins' talk about how crappy Hollywood movies are whilst I giggled, pointed at the TV, and said, "you were in Johnny Mnemonic!" But Season 2 has longer int... MORE

Queen of the Stone Age's frontman Josh Homme recently provided an eccentric interview to antiquiet's Johnny Firecloud. Homme discusses working with Trent Reznor, describes why the song "Era Vulgaris" is not on the album of the same name and how he is trying to help the city of Detroit, which he says, "needs my help." I can't even get into some of the metaphors he uses to describe his music. It's not work-safe, but luckily it's all text, so no worries about your boss seeing... MORE

I caught the Queens of the Stone age last night in Stuttgart at the old Messe Hall downtown. This was first show I have been to at the Messe and it was a pretty good venue..It has small elevated seating section with about 10 rows of seats, and I actually go to sit down and relax...a nice luxury these days... The show opened with Navel...a three piece band from Switzerland. They sounded a bit like Nirvana and were pretty loud...not bad for young band. QOTSA put o... MORE

Last week, Queens Of The Stone Age scheduled an intimate show for residents of an unnamed rehab clinic in the Los Angeles area, but the event ended with the group being "manhandled out of the building by heavy security" during the first song.
The group opened the charity set with their tune "Feel Good Hit Of The Summer," a song which features the lyrics "Nicotine, valium, vicodin, marijuana, ecstasy and alcohol... c-c-c-c-c-cocaine".
Staff at the clinic immed... MORE

Queens Of The Stone Age have release a new video for their song "Make It Wit Chu." The track was announced as the third single off of Era Vulgaris (Interscope) the group's fifth album. This is not the full track and the audio is definitely the studio version, but this song is ridiculous. So I have posted it anyway.

Just a lil' info I felt the need to share whith my fellow Moggers. Josh Homme is so happy with Queens Of The Stone Age's current lineup that he can't wait to get the group back into the studio to work on new material. "The other night we were up 'til six in the morning, all of us playing guitar," Homme says of a roster that includes multi-instrumentalist Troy Van Leeuwen and drummer Joey Castillo, who joined in 2002, and new members bassist Michael Shuman (Wires On ... Well Homme and Co. (four new guys with manic panic blacked out hair) rocked, but went too heavy on their new album. Secret Weapon Lanegan was not around, very disappointing. This is NYC , ZERO special guests? come on! Are Greg Dulli and the Twilight Singers still touring? Anyway, for the first time I was actually close to the stage- never knew he was the lead guitarist on the lion's share of the the tunes. Very impressive. Very talented fella...ears still ringing (hence the... MORE
