All Music GuideThis duo from Staten Island, NY, does an effective job of combining mainsteam singer/songwriter sensibilities with jazzy guitar-based songs. Maryann's voice has the elasticity of Rickie Lee Jones with more of a whisper and articulation. She sounds perpetually heartbroken, and it's an endearing quality. The songs are carefully put together and will linger with you. This is the kind of album you will grow into.
