Professor Murder’s debut EP, Professor Murder Rides the Subway, brings a healthy dose of creativity to New York dance punk. Professor Murder blend the genre’s usual trappings (hi-hats, cowbells, and funky basslines) with electro-pop flourishes (squiggling synths, the a capella “Pedigree”, even more cowbell) that are more akin to Hot Chip than LCD Soundsystem.
