I'd read posts from people here raving about this band, but couldn't find it on iTunes or eMusic. Well, iTunes has it now. There's also an 3 song ep (only a $1.98) called Night Owl 3.woo hoo!good stuff. They have a classic heavy sound. Vaguely remeniscent of AC/DC, little bit of a Bad Company feel. Really heavy drumming.
Yeah, sounds similar to the album Hello Master. But listening to it I realized I'd heard "Time Will Cut You Down" before. Maybe from a commercial. Or on some tv show. The thing about bands like these, that are such a huge blast from the past, is that I have a hard time thinking straight. There are "classic" songs that these newer songs remind me of, but I'm having a hard time thinking of anything

I can't stop listening to this album (The MOG meter doesn't count the CD plays in the car or they'd easily lead my TOP ARTIST and TOP ALBUM widget doodad things). Apparently these guys are still under the radar. Must be because Wolfmother is getting all the hype. In the realm of old-school-type rock these guys do it better IMHO. Hopefully a "rising tide will raise all boats" effect will occ...
Canadian stoner metallers Priestess were way too cool for their alma mater RCA Records, for whom they released only one album — 2006’s Hello Master — before being dropped. The album undoubtedly underperformed by major label standards, even with that nice sync fee they got for the inclusion of “Lay Down” in Guitar Hero III. [...]
