I hit my 4 month MOGiversary a couple of days ago.... but it didn't get me a present, all the nerve!Well, I did get you something MOG... a favorite of many moggers here, the new video from Priestess, "Lay Down"MOG.. just don't forget me next time.
I was just reading about Priestess on Anti-Amy's post, and found a whole bunch of other people had caught the bug. Priestess was the first band I found as a result of MOG (rockordeath), and I am very thankful for it. What's the top band you discovered as a result of MOG, and who do you have to thank for it? ****also, a good way for me and of course all you other moggers to pick up recs.
I'd read posts from people here raving about this band, but couldn't find it on iTunes or eMusic. Well, iTunes has it now. There's also an 3 song ep (only a $1.98) called Night Owl 3.woo hoo!good stuff. They have a classic heavy sound. Vaguely remeniscent of AC/DC, little bit of a Bad Company feel. Really heavy drumming.

Or on some tv show. The thing about bands like these, that are such a huge blast from the past, is that I have a hard time thinking straight. There are "classic" songs that these newer songs remind me of, but I'm having a hard time thinking of anyth...
I just found out that Priestess has been added to the Black Label Society / Black Stone Cherry tour! How cool is that?! Tuesday is gonna rock.I mean, that's pretty solid, wouldn't ya say?!(Haha. I image-Googled Priestess to add a pic for good measure, but no band pictures came on the first page of results, so I decided that this is what you get.)
On November 11th I went to the Priestess concert at Mavericks bar in Ottawa. I guess it was one of the first shows of a new tour to support their upcoming second album. Unfortunately, this concert was not good. It started with the same old trick. Listing the starting time as much earlier than the time the concert actually starts. I know this trick, it's to get people to the venue and leave them...
A long time ago, rock or death(http://mog.com/rock_or_death) suggested this band to me because of my love for Wolfmother. Well, yesterday, I finally got my act together and coughed up the cash for the Priestess album. You already know what I'm going to say next. The album is great. I love it. It has elements to it that I haven't heard it a long time and which blend together to form the sound th...
