All Music GuidePlacido Domingo's Vienna Noel is a thoroughly impressive, moving and vastly entertaining holiday record. Most of the record is devoted to traditional carols and classical pieces, which is only appropriate for a vocalist of Domingo's training and caliber. Throughout the album, his performances are absolutely compelling -- not only is it a great holiday album, but it's a fine Domingo album by any standard.
