Marking the American debut of the Pizzicato Five on the Matador label, this five-song EP contains remixed and resung tracks from This Year's Girl and elsewhere. Matador's plan to have Maki sing in English doesn't exactly work, and says more of the label's initial fear that American audiences wouldn't listen to Japanese lyrics (Matador and the group stopped the practice by the third U.S. release). Fortunately, "Twiggy Twiggy" was left untouched and, ironically, it is the song that has turned most Americans on to the group.

I have more time to post lately but I'm not feeling it. I think I might have a post block or something like that. Pizzicato Five makes me happy so I'm posting songs by them. I love how they bring on a full art package. In more ways than one. ...
AAArgh, I'm in pain (recent knee surgery) and can't sleep. So I'm sitting here trawling the airwaves and can"t believe The pizzicato Five have just been on. back in the 80's I listened to these a lot and was just so cool to hear them again.Enjoy this live performance.
