This is a fan based video of Pink Martini doing "Amado Mio" from their debut "Sympathique".They have new CD out called "Hey Eugene".
Anyway the video is clips of the movie Gilda staring the beautiful Rita Hayworth. Rita lip sync the song in the movie with another singers voice,but looks so damn good doing it. Anyway,now its dubed with Pink Martini.

After a long, hot, humide summer day in the park setting up sound checks for that night's shows finally an overwhelming crowd (they say 10,000 people attended) was thrilled to hear the delights of Pink Martini. They opened with a jazzy version of Ravel's Bolero and then continued to perform many of their original hits. It was a great way to cool down after the long day we had in the sun...

I worked a Pink Martini show last night. Mostly, I chose to work it so that I could get some friends -- who are fans - in to see the show. For me, Pink Martini live sounds like a higher priced wedding band - polished but lacking that certain something. The mostly latin-flavored set reminded me of another band I had seen at the venue - the Buena Vista Social Club/Afro-Cuban Allstars. Pink Martini is an enormously talented band. I had owned both their albums for sometime and was really excited when they came to Chicago and played at the Hothouse last year. Hothouse is a smaller venue so no matter where you were sitting (it was all table seating) you got a good view and could hear them clearly. I was blown away. They are magnificent live! I spoke to one of the members after the show (Gavin Bondy, the trumpet player) and it turns out that they didn't know... MORE
