One listen to "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" and you'll understand why the death of Syd Barrett, not to mention the troubles he experienced for so long, were so sad. I'd sure like to have heard a lot more of this stuff. I'm not well enough versed in Pink Floyd's catalogue to make grand comparisons to the band with and without Barrett and can only really comment on what this album does for me. Spa...
