LONDON (Sept. 15) - A Pink Floyd spokesman says founding member Richard Wright has died. He was 65. Wright died Monday after a battle with cancer at his home in Britain. His family did not want to give more details about his death. The spokesman is Doug Wright, who is not related to the artist. I was just listening to "The Great Gig In The Sky" by Pink Floyd. I never really thought about it before, but today something just struck me. I love this song. Like, I am IN love with it. It's like an atmosphere all on its own. The piano in it is very moving, especially in the intro.
It's another one of those songs that makes me want to stop being lazy and actually learn how to play piano.
