here i was, surfing mog idly whilst basking in the new Autumn of the Seraphs, when i noticed it: nothing. barely anything that suggests mog love to the Pinback extended family. really? sweet jesus. holy christ almighty. mother of god. this must be rectified pronto. i do not doubt mog digs Pinback et. al. (the first mogger i have ever met is a fan of theirs) and it's just no one's talking. for all i know, true Pinback fans are sworn to secrecy and i am the wuss breaking... MORE

This seductively brilliant rock band from San Diego has been making genre-defying, innovative music since the late 90s. Their new CD “Autumn of the Seraphs” is the most musically satisfying and complete album I’ve heard all year, by far. Pinback has announced a new album after a three year break from the studio. Autumn of the Seraphs will be released via Touch and Go and will be accompanied by an extensive tour, according to a statement from the group's publicist. Pinback are the indie rock sweethearts of San Diego, California. I'm stoked. I discovered Pinback with their last album, "Summer in Abaddon," and they've quickly become one of my favorite bands.
So far, looks like you can only listen to it (and buy it) from Touch and Go Records' website. The song is called "From Nothing to Nowhere." Here's the link:
