Just saw an interesting concert announcement and I had to make the MOG community aware of it. Arriving May 26 and 27 to Sonar in Baltimore, MD...it's the Maryland Deathfest! Yes, that's actually what it's called, and yes, it promises fun for the whole family. Every time Pig Destroyer has a new album, they dominate my mog/last.fm for weeks and months. That's partly becuase their songs are :48 long with 24 to an album, but of course it's mostly that they're the best grindcore band I know (and really all the grindcore I need in my life). Phantom Limb is the title track from their latest, and while this one is still no Prowler in the Yard, there's technical complexity a la Meshuggah up against straight ahead power and thrash that...
