Last week, I went to a friend's house to hear Andrew Rice speak and I was really impressed with Peter Salett, a young singer-songwriter who sat down at the piano and played a song before Andrew gave everyone an update on his Oklahoma Senate campaign. Singer/songwriter Peter Salett held a record release party at M Bar in Hollywood on July 17 for his upcoming album In the Ocean of the Stars. His music has been featured in films such as Judd Apatow’s Forgetting Sarah Marshall, HBO’s Cat Dancers and Down in the Valley starring Ed Norton. On the new album, Salett retains his characteristic folk-country style, but tunes such as True in Time and Miss You are unique in their early 50s/60s pop rhythms and echo-heavy slide guit... MORE
The release shows are still the 17th at M Bar in Hollywood and the 23rd at The Living Room in NYC, but the record wil now be in stores on July 29.
The record In the Ocean of the Stars is out July 22 and there will be two record release shows: July 17 live at the M Bar in Hollywood, and the following week in NYC at the Living Room on July 23.
