I just hate when people don't stick with the plan. You see... some days ago my aunt offered me the ride from the train station to the pavilion, but she went shopping instead, which made me hurry and mentally sketch a plan B. has a single concert scheduled in Portugal: November 30th at Vila Nova de Gaia’s Municipal Pavilion. Didn’t buy the ticket yet and I must hurry - 10 euros for such thing is almost like giving them away for free. Nothing like a news like this one to cheer me up...-

I am currently dying my hair black and it is making me remember all the wonderful things about being a goth...like Peter Murphy's solo work. It was nearly a decade ago that this was my favourite song to listen to on repeat while I cried and hated by parents and wrote poetey about how I was picked on at school and cut holes into my fish net stockings. Because I have always enjoyed Peter Murphy, I add this track as being my favorite. "Love Hysteria" was perhaps Peter's best total effort and Socrates The Python for me sort of gives Peter the total mystique that he generated. Always reminds me of a snake charmer, I guess with the drumbeats and the tambourines it's understandable. However this song also holds a deeper meaning for me. While my favorite Peter Murphy record is "Love Hysteria", his 1986 cover of Pere Ubu's "Final Solution" is awesome, and I just had to get some Murphy solo stuff into my 100. The video has minimal production values, but Murphy's intense persona just shine through, along with the twisted sounds. Peter Murphy covering Pere Ubu's "Final Solution" - an essential 80's track!

Here's a video by the guy whose voice gets me in the mood. Sadly, my wife doesn't like him at all. Such is life.
Here's one from my #1 current musical obsession. Unfortunately, they're not much to look at; this is a band that would benefit from putting the rhythm section upfront, b/c that's where the action is. Great song, tho.
What's better than Peter Murphy's "I'll Fall With Your Knife"? Nothing, that's what. Love it, I'd fall with it's knife.
