A bonus cover for you. Pete Yorn's take on the Smith's Classic...the quality is so-so, but the words are of course brilliant, and its a slightly different interpretation of a classic.
And if I may be so bold, I would like to dedicate this to MTV...since they have been playing music that says nothing to me about my life since 120 minutes went off the air.
Several years ago I bought this album and I nearly broke up with my girlfriend. Not because of anything wrong, just because the album was that good.
You were lying wide awake in the garden,
trying to get over your stardom,
and I could never see you depart us,
and you're my baby...
Whenever I listen to Pete Yorn, it feels like everything is like, shut down, and that there's nothing left in the entire world but Pete Yorn and I.
And sometimes, when I listen to Pete's cover of the Ramones "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend," I like to pretend that he's singing it about me.
