Pearl Jam are no stranger to the bootleg concept. Back in 2000 the band began releasing official bootlegs of their live shows and have sold more than 3.5 million of the suckers (says Billboard.com). I know I'm not the first, and I surely won't be the last...Is there one song that just gets you like no other? The saddest, most depressing song that just 'says it all, so that you (thank G-d) don't have to?' A fond memory from when I was a teenager was hanging out with my dad in the early morning hours of the night. I was still living with my folks in Bemidji, MN and, being in the late high school/early college stage of my life, I'd commonly stay up all hours watching TV or surfing the web. One of the most refreshing things I have seen in quite sometime is to observe Pearl Jam coming alive again with the most energy they have shown in years. Watching their performances on SNL, Letterman, and Storytellers, I am thrilled to see Eddie sing with a renewed passion that resonates all the way back to the Vitalogy era. So, having always enjoyed Pearl Jam, I just found another good reason to appreciate these guys. Apparently they're very eco-aware and are trying to balance out their carbon emissions created by their latest tour through several means including the use of bio-diesel and carbon offset programs.
