I just love this song. Neil Young, Pearl Jam, Cassandra Wilson --- all of them do it beautifully.

Every time I turn to listen Pearl Jam I find myself listening to this album and, in particular, this track. Something about Eddie's tone and tamber strikes a chord every time.

From FT.com The strangest thing about EMI ’s former record factory in Hayes, west London, is not that it has been lying derelict for years, but that in a ramshackle outbuilding once occupied by the packing and shipping department, 11 of the 120 record presses that immortalised the music of groups such as The Beatles and Pink Floyd are again in full production, turning out singles and LPs. The presses are no longer owned by EMI but by a small, ... MORE

This year I intend to go to Bonnaroo, with ever fiber of me. It's going to be aboutt 300 dollars, probably more when it's all said and done. And the bulk of that - if I had to measure it out - would be paid to see Pearl Jam. The price is steep, but the stakes, are high. Good music, better friends, bad beer, and no showers. It's 300 dollars for an amazing kick off to the last summer I have as a student. One more summer of music before I graduate and shuffle me self into the ad... MORE

Sonics Fans First to Know Pearl Jam's Prepping New Album So the Sonics won last night. Kevin Durant scored a bunch of points and stuff. The biggest highlight, though, came from the seats, when Pearl Jam bassist—and die hard Sonics fan—Jeff Ament donned a headset for a chat with announcer Kevin Calabro. Jeff commented on Durant's talent, voiced opposition to the Sonics' possible departure, and said our recent snow (quality) was stellar. Regarding his band, Jeff told ... MORE

LOS ANGELES - Yahoo Inc., is in early discussions with major record labels over offering unprotected MP3s either for sale or for free as part of an ad-supported service, two record company executives familiar with the talks said Wednesday.
The talks, held as recently as last month, were preliminary because Yahoo is still working out the details, said the executives, who requested anonymity because of the discussions were confidential. Yahoo hopes to launch the service... MORE

To those of us who have been quietly hording our vinyl records saying some day my sweet, some day, at last affirmation...if you need that sort of thing. By KRISTINA DELL

Vinyl records, especially the full-length LPs that helped define the golden era of rock in the 1960s and '70s, are suddenly cool again. Some of the n... MORE

What It Looks Like Trying to Get A Straight Answer From the RIAA

    Artist:

By Ryan Singel Wired.com The Internet has been much ado and ado over whether the Recording Industry Association of America, which has been filing lawsuits against Americans for file sharing for years, also believes that simply ripping MP3s from CDs is illegal or not. Threat Level tried (again) today to get a straight answer from the trade association. Following a phone call Tuesday morning, RIAA spokeswoman Liz Kennedy asked me to email my specific questions. ...
