[Image via Myspace]Drums of Death and Peaches have decided to schedule a make-up gig for June 19th at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn to make up for a missed appearance by Drums of Death at Webster Hall this past May. The night will be the final performance of the tour, which is currently making its way through California for a number of sold out dates. So, be sure to come out for yo...
There comes a time in every person's life when they must confess their love for one or more people.Peaches' new video for "Lose You" is astonishingly close to how I've always handled that type of situation. But really--I'm so thoroughly giddy about this video! It's pretty much the "Lose You" performance on the I Feel Cream tour, except more choreographed, zoomed in, and hilarious. And you've got...
Akin to the last post, electroclash queen bee, Peaches, must have known it was ol' boy's birthday, because just now, we have the newly released video for her Lose You, a hypertender ballad off album of the year candidate, I Feel Cream. If you've seen Peaches live show on her current tour, then you're well aware of the similarities in theatrics displayed in the video. This doesn't make me love it...
A few days ago I received a whole bunch of remixes from Tokyo based producer, Hoshina Anniversary...Part of his "Galaxy" collection. They are all really good, but this one is my favorite. I'm really impressed with the melodic, cosmic twist he puts on this Peaches track...Really clever flip of an already great song.Peaches - Fuck the Pain Away (Hoshina Anniversary "Galaxy" Remix) (ZS)
I've always been scared of Peaches. Not her as a person specifically - though, judging by her music, I probably should be - but I just never truly attempted to delve into her material. My older brother always tried to push her on me, and I always pushed her away just as hard. I think it's a testament to how much I love her new album (I Feel Cream, available here) that instead of converting "jus...
The coolest thing about Peaches is the fact she used to be a schoolteacher. From her sexually charged lyrics and thumping electro to her hideously brilliant live performances, everything about her screams rebel. Her fourth album only pushes her image closer to disgusting yet at the same time demonstrates the professional qualities required to teach music. Expert production alongside A List elec...
With a title like I Feel Cream, and with the fact that Peaches, after three albums, has something of a reputation for foul mouthed gender-bending and electro-subversion, one would be forgiven for assuming that this latest offering is more of the same. It always was going to be difficult for Merrill Nisker to move on…
every little defect gets respect, must protect what you expectPeaches - I Feel CreamI’ve never liked Peaches’ music. She was always more interesting to talk about than listen to. With her 4th album, I Feel Cream, dropping last week she revealed a new side to herself. Kind of. I’ll get to the good stuff but [...]Rating: 0.0/5 (0 votes cast)
Peaches, Peaches, Peaches...check out your Chrissy behind now.On her fifth studio album, I Feel Cream, the Queen of Electrocrap has decided to let her hair down (wayyy down if you've seen the video for "Talk To Me") and invited some super cool collaborators into the creamery. Among them? A slew of the most exciting movers and shakers of alt-electronica, including Soulwax, Digitalism, Drums of D...
March 8th is blog against sexism day as well as International Women's Day. I was pointed in the direction of a site by fellow mogger Lola the car chick that asked you write a little something against sexism or for wimmin’s/women’s/gender liberation. They especially encouraged men to challenge themselves and write about the topic.I thought to myself, how do I even begin to try and relate to the...
Well, almost a full 24 hours later and I seem to be back into normal shape. What feels like 7 pounds lighter, and a stomach that feels like I have been doing sit-ups all night with Tony Little yelling in my ear, I seem to have kicked this food poisoning episode. As I sat in my own private hell last night, I remember thinking, "make the pain go away." This immidiately made me think of a song by M...
Peaches / I Feel Cream / Talk To MeNew Album / New Single / Released May 5, 2009/////////// Got a hold of the Peaches pre-album not expecting much but my iPod kept playing her tracks and my head kept nodding. I Feel Cream is what music is like when punks and hipsters come together to [...]
