Pato Banton is currently on tour with Eek-A-Mouse, entertaining multi-generation crowds of reggae fans with his uplifting stage antics. He's one of my favorite artists to see live because he never stops smiling and bounces around the stage with such joy. From what I have seen and heard of Pato's music and presence, he is carrying the torch that Bob Marley was forced to abandon when he died. ...

Pato will be performing in Oakland @ Karribean City, 1408 Webster at 14th tomorrow night... It is a great venue that makes an performance a very personal experiance and also serves Real Jamaican food. Try the Jerk Chicken, you will not be disapointed.I will be in the building for sure! He performed at the Independent, with the Mystic Roots as backup. He had just launched into his biggest hit song - "Gwarn" when he noticed a guy down front wearing a GWARN T-shirt.
