The band is playing Ornette Coleman's blues "Turnaround" here. This performance was meant to memorialize bassist Jaco Pastorius, who had died from injuries suffered during an altercation in September, 1987. Metheny and Moses had played many gigs with Jaco, and recorded with him on Metheny's famous first recording, "Bright Size Life".
