All Music GuideD'Leon's last recording spent an awful long time in the New York salsa charts, and it's easy to hear why. The base is international salsa, the sound on many tracks a splendidly fat, rich big-band one, but above all (like the Dominican bands) these fellows are high-energy. Could Venezuela be brewing the next Big Thing? Odd though it sounds, don't discount the possibility.
