All Music GuideOingo Boingo's two-disc Anthology collects some of the finest examples of their eclectic sound, including "Weird Science" and the Halloween anthem "Dead Man's Party." Tracks like "Only a Lad," "Grey Matter," and "Cinderella Undercover" define their cerebral-yet-catchy style, and live versions of "Tender Lumpkins," "Whole Day Off," and "Insects" hint at the group's theatrical concerts. The most complete of the Oingo Boingo collections, Anthology picks up where Best O' Boingo left off, making it a good starting point for those new to the group's quirky pop.
