The Offspring..maybe the reason why i like music so much. The first band i loved, i was about 11 years old, almost 20 now, soo,,,about 9 years of waiting.
Ok, they are coming at Greece this summer, 8 of July @ Rockwave Festival. I'm so fuckin excited!!! XD
There are four or five things i so much want to do before i die. The Offspring live show is one of them.
Cheers
It seems like we won't have to wait until June 16 (EU) and June 17 for North American citizens to enjoy their new album (if u want to buy it, you will have to wait 'till then though).

Everyone has had a time in their life that they have found particularly trying. Some of us have had more than others, but most everyone has had a point in life that seemed downright BEAT. [If you have never had a moment like this, then kudos! - that’s totally awesome - but if you would like to understand what I am talking about, just rent the movie "The Jerk" with Steve Martin and youll see what I mean] Sometimes, you stumble, but fate forces your hand into a quick re... It's The song of 'Ixnay on the Hombre' album. I can remember myself listening to this song while i was rejected by my first -and last 'till now- love, when i was 15. (i guess it was love..)
Maybe that's what music is about..it keeps us company with our very personal moments.
I met Sarah K three months before she moved to Germany. We were sophomores at the time, both in grade and in literal translation. The better part of that year and the entirety of the year prior saw us running in the same social circle, though somehow never actually crossing paths. Sarah K had attended my birthday party, but we didn’t meet, weren’t introduced, didn’t talk. I was dating her best friend, Sarah D, yet Sarah K and I remained strangers. Then, one day, we weren... There are songs that I like just because a simple sound or happy instrument makes me stop and listen. Never gave Offspring's Splinter album a listen until I heard Hit That. The funky keyboard/synthesizer had me hooked.
Same thing with the xylophone in Violent Femmes' Gone Daddy Gone and the toy piano in Ben Lee's Catch My Disease.
There are just days when it doesn't take much to make me happy. What music uncomplicates your day?
Brilliant into with fast drums, leading into a neat wal of sound.
Gets my heart going every time, I like this kind of music, music that makes you sit up and listen, with lots of energy.
Contrast to Portishead, of whom I am a fan, but you need to be in the mood, whereas The offspring always seem to be suitable.
moved on to "beheaded" coz it makes me laugh ...
"Before you started tokin',You used to have a brainBut you don't get even the simplest of thing.I can draw a picture, Or even use my hands, I try to explain but you just don't understand.
Man you're really losin' it,And you've really done a lot of junk now. But you keep abusin' it,What in the world happened to you?" --"What Happened To You?" by Offspring ============================================== I remember I got the album Smash with gift cards from m... MORE
I spent years searching for this song, all I had was the sound. I could hear the way he sang the words in my mind, but I couldn't make them out. I finally found it by mistake one day, I almost didn't even recognize it. I was in the gym about a month or so ago and I heard The Offspring playing, as the next song came on I was barely paying attention. If I wouldn't of stopped doing what I was doing for a second it would've passed me by. I am glad I found it, I really enj... MORE
