After a looooooooong nationwide search, Jamal Woolard a.k.a MC Gravy has been tapped to portray Biggie Smalls. Angela Bassett will play Big's mom Voletta Wallace. Anthony Mackie won the role of 2pac Shakur, and finally Derek Luke will dance around as Diddy. The film will be directed by George Tillman Jr. and begins filming later this month in New York City.

After years of delays, the movie Notorious, which is based on the life of Biggie Smalls seems to be in production. New York Magazine got their hands on the script for the film, and their assessment of the film was less than flattering. NY Mag claims the script fails because it tries to stuff his entire life into two hours, rather than focusing on a specific period in his career. After a court hearing on Monday November 26, three names have been added to the Biggie's wrongful-death lawsuit. Judge Florence-Marie Cooper declared that the three former LA detectives, Stanley Nalywaiko, Stuart Maislin and Steven Katz, helped cover up evidence that linked former LA cops Perez, Mack and Wright Jr. to a conspiracy with Suge Knight to kill B.I.G. in 1997. This is a pretty sick mix tape of BIG's songs over remixed frank sinatra samples. The final product is damn dope. When I first heard of it I thought it'd be similar to the grey album in quality, don't get me wrong I like the grey album but I felt only a few songs really stood out.
