Nick Cave's new More News From Nowhere is fairly reminiscent of Deanna, albeit toned-down. And we loves Deanna.

MOGstars - 9/10 It’s been a busy few years for Nick Cave, he’s written a screenplay for Outback thriller The Proposition, appeared onscreen alongside Brad Pitt and dabbled with brutalised side project Grinderman. Returning to the day job, the imposing Australian troubadour and his ever-present Bad Seeds have produced this, their fourteenth studio album. Within seconds this is a clear return to the malevolent blues of previous outings. The title track slides stubbor... MORE

Nick Cave may be 50 but as new album 'Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!' shows he's still dark, scary and down right funny....

The new Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds album, Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! is playing here at the office. It's so good that it makes it hard to concentrate on anything else. I'd been wondering what the next Bad Seeds would sound like after last year's Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds subset band, Grinderman, put out a raw and purile self-titled album about not getting enough sex, and this is not what I expected. There are Grinderman elements, but the overall record is way more pop-o... MORE

In which Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds perform a weird séance of sorts: I'm just as confused as you are. The one good thing to note is that Nick is keeping his creepy old man 'stache. I think it suits him well. The album, DIG , LAZARUS, DIG !!!, will be released on March 3, 2008. The single of the same name will be released February 18 2008.... MORE

“Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!” is one of those curious records that initially appear immediate, but which only become genuinely compelling after multiple listens. It’s bony, dispassionate, far from the confessional intensity of, say, “The Boatman’s Call”, and, in spite of the title, with less religious brow-furrowing than usual. Two things stand out. One, it’s really funny. Two, it’s really groovy. If there’s a Cave album it reminds me of right now, it’s “Let Love In”, and chief... MORE
