So here's a scene I never knew much about. World Village is releasing a new, more rootsy album called Ana Hina by belly-dancing/singing star Natacha Atlas, who has worked with Jah Wobble (dub, drum & bass) and sung lead for Transglobal Underground (multicultural dance group). She became the lead singer and belly dancer of the very eclectic crew Transglobal Underground (TGU) who focuses on mixing Eastern and Western sounds as well as other styles. Count Dubulah of TGU says about former TGU head: "Nat is not an ordinary human being. She is a supremely talented weirdo. She's a lovely person; she's just got a few character traits that need kicking the shit out of. Like her temper. She came at me with a knife once."

Be sure to drink plenty of it while bellydancing your ass off (?is this possible? oh, yes!) to some new Natacha Atlas and especially when eating vindaloo and daal at your favorite local indian emporium of tandoori!
