From the Hawaiian vocal trio Na Leo Pilimehana comes this album of love songs, with only the slightest bit of Hawaiian influence noticeable along the way. The sound is decidedly adult contemporary, with the Hawaiian aspects coming in only in a slight way in the vocal techniques. The focus here is fully on love songs, complete with an added "synchronization license" in the album, allowing purchasers to legally use the album for their wedding videos. The vocals are consistent and professional, if perhaps a bit bland from time to time within the song structures. The instrumentation consists primarily of some soft keyboard riffs along with a light bassline and the occasional sax accentuation. Given the stated purpose of the album, as background music for the variety of romantic activities in life, it does a decent job. While it tends toward the bland, that's to be expected and perhaps even desired within the relatively narrow genre that the album fits itself into. Give it a listen for the intent and purpose more than the musicality. It's a solid, if bland, album. As an added bonus, there are two karaoke tracks included for usage at weddings.
