Mose John Allison, Jr. (born November 11, 1927) is an American jazz pianist and singer. He was born in Tippo, Mississippi, played piano in grammar school and trumpet in high school. He went to College at University of Mississippi and Louisiana State. He received a BA in English, and spent time between the two schools in the army.
