Once again, the members of Molly Hatchet deliver the goods like the Southern road warriors they are. With this live document from 1982 in Los Angeles, King Biscuit shows wisdom in releasing a nugget from the band's glory years -- with Jimmy Farrar presiding and the Hatchet serving as the judge, jury, and Southern overlord it is. Greatest Hits Live is a ruthless document that grabs hold and refuses to let go until the last squeal of feedback fades from the stacks of amplifiers. Although there are a few songs missing that only the die-hard fan would notice, this is still an amazing release that would be perfectly at home within the collection of said die-hard fan. And for those chomping at the bit at the current wave of ock & roll revivalism: Take notice, because school is in session and the teachers are educating.
