Mogwai are set to release a new live album as well as a Vincent Moon and Nathanael Le Scouarnec (of La Blogotheque fame) directed live film documenting the proggy masterminds on stage. The movie is called Burning and was filmed in Brooklyn, though it'll be debuted at the Copenhagen International Documentary Festival in Denmark on November 13th.

Those not impressed by the brass section which Beirut sported earlier this evening will not be leaving this Saturday empty handed. Imagine looking in a cuff-links box and having Jaws attack you: this is the Errors effect. Mogwai protégés and fellow Scotsmen Errors are fast becoming the flag-bearers for the 'post-electro' movement.
Hey, remember last year when Mogwai canceled all those North American tourdates? Well, they've finally decided to live up to their New Year's resolution to not cancel anymore shows by booking an entire U.S. tour this spring. Now, if only Mogwai could give me back the 63 minutes I spent listening to their most recent album, The Hawk Is Howling (TMT Review), last year, then all would be forgiven....

I was on Ticketmaster checking out the cost of tix for various bands in San Francisco. I had heard Mogwai puts on an amazing show and saw they're going to be here in the bay area 9/08/08. Tickets were pretty reasonable at $22.50.So I'm going through the process online to find out the total end cost with all those damn fees cause I like to know what the bottom line will be. I was wavering on th...
