Mixing up everything from IDM to dub, electro and hip-hop, Modeselektor puts out a truly fun album that keeps me bopping up and down. Modeselektor dropped the new video for "Black Block" today. The song is from their latest album Happy Birthday! and the video was directed by Christian Feldhusen. It's kind of Mad Hatter with apes... I LOVE the little RV Van - I want one! "Black Block" is such a bumpin song, good for cranking up the soundsystem...

Berlin electronic duo Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary AKA Modeselektor have a track on their upcoming album, Happy Birthday!, that features Thom Yorke. Have you heard the new Modeselektor album? It's quite good with special vocal additions from Thom Yorke, Maximo Park, french hip hop group TTC and many others. It's also quite different than what I am used to from these guys. Maybe I've been too isolated with their Tigerbeat6 style of electronic breakcore magnificent mayhem, but I've never heard such a pop-styled album from Modeselektor. German electronic duo Modeselektor will release their sophomore album via Bpitch Control on September 11.
