Ministry frontman Al Jourgensen has revealed to Germany's Metal Hammer magazine that the group's previously announced "final" album, "The Last Sucker", will be followed by an all-covers release, slated for 2008. According to Jourgensen, the as-yet-untitled effort will contain "a lot of different cover songs from various bands," some of which have already been released on Ministry albums over the years. Ministry will embark on their final world tour next March. The North American stretch kicks it off in Vancouver, British Columbia on March 28th. In a recent interview for Radio Metal with Aaron Rossi in which the Ministry drummer discusses the incident that took place on June 24, 2008 at the band's concert at Havana Café in Toulouse, France. Most Ministry fans cringe at the mere mentioning of anything before The Land of Rape & Honey - I can't say I ever got into With Sympathy, but Twitch and a couple of the singles released between 81-85 were pretty good. In fact, Isle of Man II, We Believe and The Angel are still some of my favorite Ministry songs.

Former Ministry bassist Paul Raven was found dead at a private home on the French side of the Swiss border Saturday. His death was apparently due to a heart attack, according to his publicist.
